1. These Six Pokémon Are Must-Catches at GO Fest Chicago
Mega Mewtwo X / Mega Mewtwo Y
Making their global debut. Both Mega Evolution forms will appear as Legendary Raid bosses. Whether you're chasing CP, completing your Pokédex, or simply want to witness a historic moment — don't miss this.
Zeraora
This Mythical Pokémon is exclusive to ticket holders of the Chicago park experience, obtainable only through special research tasks during the event. Mythical Pokémon are always rare — when a Pokédex opportunity comes around, take it.
Shiny Wash Rotom
Not encountered in the wild — this one triggers through GO Snapshot photobombs. The Shiny form is making its debut this year, making it a high-priority target for Shiny hunters. Take plenty of GO Snapshot photos throughout the event to maximize your chances.
Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed)
Available as a 3-Star Raid boss exclusively at the Chicago venue, with a regional-exclusive nature. These venue-limited Pokémon rarely get reprinted quickly — if you want it, now is the time.
Comfey
Normally only found in Hawaii, Comfey will be available at all three GO Fest in-person event locations this year. A great chance to fill that Pokédex gap.
Zapdos (including Shadow form)
Zapdos is Chicago's featured Legendary Pokémon, appearing alongside the Team Captain research storyline. Articuno covers Tokyo and Moltres covers Copenhagen — each city has its own themed Legendary, and Zapdos belongs to Chicago.
2. Grant Park Main Venue | Four Zone Coordinates & Content Guide
The main event location for GO Fest 2026 Chicago is Grant Park. The park is divided into four functional zones by official design, each corresponding to different in-game content. Once inside, you can prioritize zones based on your objectives — no need to wander aimlessly.
Park Center Reference Coordinate: 41.8769, -87.6187
The four zones run north to south:
Recruitment Zone (Coordinate: 41.8795, -87.6189) — Where Team Leaders showcase their lineups. Challenge Raids here for bonus rewards, and test your PvP skills at the Battle Ground.
Cultivation Zone (Coordinate: 41.8776, -87.6190) — Features event-themed field research tasks and special Eggs, with enhanced Incubator efficiency.
Conservatory Zone (Coordinate: 41.8757, -87.6189) — Located inside the Cultivation Zone, this is the highest-density area for Pokémon encounters and the key zone for Pokédex completion.
Team GO Rocket Hideout (Coordinate: 41.8733, -87.6190) — The southernmost zone. All Rocket battles, Shadow Raids, and Shadow Pokémon rescues are concentrated here.
3. Plan Your GO Fest Exploration with Flymon
GO Fest events are defined by high spawn rates, dense PokéStop clusters, and frequent Raids — pacing yourself matters far more than on a regular day. Flymon is a Bluetooth hardware joystick that connects directly via Bluetooth — no app required, no jailbreak needed. Here's how it helps during GO Fest:
Virtual Joystick — Freely control your movement direction. Ideal for fine-tuning your position near key coordinates to enter battle or catch range.
Route Planning — Set multi-point routes or loop paths so your character moves continuously in your chosen direction. Great for connecting short-distance hotspot routes like Grant Park to Millennium Park.
Auto-Walk — Keep moving within a set area continuously. Best for egg hatching, PokéStop spinning, and building up walking distance.
Auto-Spin / Auto-Catch — Automatically spin PokéStops and catch nearby wild Pokémon while moving, reducing the need for manual taps.
Cooldown Timer — After long-distance coordinate jumps, the system will alert you to your cooldown period, helping you avoid account issues from acting during cooldown.
4. Important Notes Before Using Flymon
- Always confirm your cooldown has fully elapsed before switching to a distant coordinate
- Maintain a stable 4G or 5G connection throughout
- Avoid rapid, large-distance coordinate jumps in short time windows
- iOS users: be aware of the approximate 15–17 km location range limitation
- Adjust your usage frequency and method based on your own account history
Flymon is designed as a support tool — best suited for route planning, virtual walking, and PokéStop assistance during events. If you need to travel to a distant coordinate, confirm your cooldown timer, location permissions, and network status before proceeding, and always follow the official setup guide.
